According to Reuters, Compass Diversified (CoDi Partners) is seeking a buyer for its menstrual care brand The Honey Pot and has hired investment bank Raymond James to facilitate the sale process.
The company acquired The Honey Pot for approximately $380 million last year. This divestiture plan is closely tied to significant issues within another of its businesses: Last November, Lugano, a high-end jewelry and diamond company controlled by CoDi, discovered accounting fraud during an internal preliminary investigation and subsequently filed for bankruptcy protection, placing pressure on the group's overall operations. Against this backdrop, Compass Diversified decided to optimize its balance sheet by selling off premium assets.
Unlike traditional feminine care brands, The Honey Pot aligned with the “natural and safe” consumer trend from inception: its entire product line uses plant-based ingredients, strictly excludes harmful chemicals like SLS, phthalates, and synthetic preservatives, and emphasizes three key selling points—“dermatologist-tested, hypoallergenic and gentle, and cruelty-free.”
In 2012, founder Beatrice Dixon suffered from bacterial vaginosis for eight months. When conventional products proved ineffective, she dreamt of ancestral herbal healing wisdom. Ultimately, she overcame her condition using a self-developed botanical formula—this “self-rescue solution” born in her kitchen later became the brand's origin story. For women with sensitive skin, this formulation design directly addresses a critical need. One user praised it as “the most comfortable sanitary pad I've ever used,” while a postpartum mother described its herbal pads as “a gentle act of self-care.”
Industry observers note that mergers and acquisitions in the feminine care and women's health consumer goods sector are currently active. With its brand influence, sustained growth potential, and product differentiation advantages, The Honey Pot is poised to attract market attention. Its final transaction valuation may exceed last year's acquisition price, positioning it as another noteworthy deal in the consumer health domain.
